I am Happy Sarkodie Insulted Me in His Rap - Patapaa

Swedru-based musician, Patapaa Amisty has disclosed that to be mentioned in a song by Ghana’s decorated rapper, Sarkodie is an honor.

According to the new artiste, Sarkodie’s jabs at him in a recent remix song with a young Ghanaian rapper, Ypee is even a blessing to his career.

Ypee’s remix song with Sarkodie, titled “Meye guy’ has received huge criticisms as the rapper was heard throwing some shades at Patapaa in a rather creative manner.

Sarkodie who talks about how he made it from grass to grace in the song added that Patapaa would have performed at his funeral if he had not made money in life.

Whiles some critics argue that Sarkodie deliberately repeated those lines to ‘push’ the “One Corner’ hitmaker to the ground, others say it’s a normal thing in showbiz industry.

However, speaking on Accra-based Xylofon FM on Monday, Patapaa revealed that he sees it as an honor to have his name used in the song, even though Sarkodie meant it as a diss to him.

“It’s not easy for Sarkodie to mention your name in his rap. Which means that God is making ways for me in the industry. Because If Sarkodie wants no one either than Patapaa to perform at his funeral then it means that the man has a vision about me,” he said.

Although many entertainment pundits have predicted that, Sarkodie’s diss to Patapaa could call for a ‘beef’ between the two artistes, but Patapaa appears to have been humbled. “Sarkodie is a senior rapper and a hero in Ghana. So for Sarkodie to sit down and pen down my name in his rap line it means I have a bigger future ahead of me.” Patapaa told the host as monitored by Eonlineghana.com

Ypee’s “Meye guy’ remix which was recently released is said to have received massive airplay due to Sarkodie’s controversial rap verse.
