To Whom It May Concern
What is the work of MUISIGA??
Support Ghanaian music right? Does the upcoming musician also enjoys this support? A big NO
What of our own DJs who plays music on air? Do they even support our young talents? Well am yet to know about that.
Have you ever thought of this? TEKNO, RUNTOWN, KISS DANIEL etc ,were they underground artist or Top artist ???
I know the following top artiste in Nigeria; WIZKID, DAVIDO, TIMAYA, ICE PRINCE, DON JAZZY etc
But currently I can undoubtedly say Tekno is currently onto of his game at the moment not to talk of Runtown. Just forget about the top stars.
Ain't you curious to find out why all of a sudden these guys are seriously taking over, forget about the so called "JUJU" or whatever.
They are Nigerians but our own DJs are promoting their music on here in Ghana. I know very well their DJs does all the job for them.
But here in Ghana our own Djs don't play our young talents music on air.
And for sure I don't and ever believes Nigerians DJs plays some Ghanaian upcoming musicians music there in Nigeria, not talking of outside Africa.
You're still wondering why those upcoming artist of theirs quickly get attention all over. Well they support their own, play their music, promote them here and there. The more your music is being played on air the more people gives it attention and it's becomes a hit song.
But here in Ghana, our own DJs plays these guys song and it's easily becomes a massive hits.
Ghanaian upcoming musicians, don't you think if our Djs plays our music on air, promote it ,we will also be noticed?
NB:
The more your song get played on air, it's becomes easier to be a hit song.
Ghanaian upcoming musicians, the hyping and sharing of your music will be done alright, but trust me without a Dj playing it on air forget it to be a hit song.. Or the paying of the so called "PAYOLA" the only way out? I dare say NO because 90 percent can't afford it. But again, do those up and coming Nigerian artist pay those token to their Djs before their song is being promoted? NO!!
Nigeria music industry is full of competition, they just take the serious ones .I know perfectly here in Ghana, we have alot of serious upcoming artist but this problem isn't helping them..
And to the Djs, Does the upcoming artist in Nigeria gives you money before playing their song on air? I wish I could get a reply....
Ghanaian upcoming artist is about time to come together to bring out strong views for supports from the industry .
Nigerians will always be ahead of us if this problem isn't solved.
We have got lots of talents are out there
We can do better than them
Let's support our own.
Who is a promoter? Do we even have promoters here in Ghana? If these promoters exist here in Ghana, then what's their job?
For my understanding a promoter is an organiser of an event or theatrical production as Entertainment is concern. But what do we see now, none even try to put an effort to supports our young talents.
Organizing shows to put these young art on boards have been a major problem, even to show and exhibit their talents is a problem.
But in Nigeria, Promoters do all their best to support their talents. They mean business, they know the outcome they will get from the artist. They promote their songs and artist not only in their country, outside Africa as well. Just follow the likes of WIZKID, he's now known to be an international artist now because of how the industry helps.
Ghanaian upcoming musicians the time has really come for you to voice out.
Many started but have suddenly lost hope because the existing structure of the industry is ineffective.
Even our own top stars ain't treated with respect how much more we the young ones.
Are we going to sit and Watch them treat us this way?
Take a look on Partoranking's career, have you ever asked yourself whether he is a Nigerian or Ghanaian? He was once in Ghana but the industry couldn't identify his talent ,he quickly went back to his country and now look at where is he now.
Without money then forget it, just look at the "TOO RISKY " hit maker, when are we going to be rich to support ourselves.
That time is now fellow musicians. Let's voice out, Ain't we tired of paying Djs to just play our song?
Promoters and Djs with all due respect Let's support our young upcoming musicians .I know we can do better.
And to our top stars, Let's try to support our Young ones, share their music, they're just looking up to you guys and with your support we can achieve more . I know only a few top stars who always try to support these talents.
REGGIE ROCKSTONE, SHATTA WALE, SARKODIE to be Frank these are the only top artist I follow and see How supportive they're. Are they the only Top musicians we have here in Ghana? NO! but why. Guess the rest only think about themselves forgetting they once struggled to make head way as young ones.
But you just compare the Nigerian top musicians to ours. Just follow them and see How supportive they're. KOREDO BELLO and the OLUWA NI hit maker they were all ones like these young art, but through supportive from their Top musicians they are well known and making waves all over.
Are we going to sit down just like that and allow the Nigerian creative art industry rule over us even in our own country????
You search for Africa's Top 10 artist and it's Nigerians all over. why?
Let's try to be supportive
And to the Young musicians, why do you guys try to beef your selves? For attention or what.
Show maturity peeps, you guys have a long way to go. Its just about a matter of time.
Why do you hate each other , in ALAJO for instance that's all they do ,beefing each other but still wants to be known, it can never be possible, just use those precious time to write lyrics and learn more and stop hating each other.
Let's try and be supportive of each other and not enemies.
Music is all about competition but not that level.
We have so many young talents but the system ain't favoring them.
The MUISIGA should sit up and spearhead the solution to this issue.
It's very heartbreaking to turn on a radio and all you hear is Nigeria songs. I mean why?
They always finds it difficult to understand shatta wale because he does what? Voice out, fight for his right. What are you doing then, my upcoming artist you guys should do same.
NIGERIA Djs never play any Ghanaian upcoming musician music on air except our top stars eg Shatta wale, Sarkodie, Stonebowy and the few left.
I wish these upcoming musicians will help me embark on my quest to help put them on the limelight.
Let's trend with the hashtag
#supportOurYoungTalents
This will show How serious and determined we are.
As Shatta wale said in his hit song ie (ayoo) " obiaa suro dem dey kill our future " this line means a lot.
Let's support our own
NB: I'm not doing this for likes nor comments, am here to support and also help change the face of GH music.
Share to all upcoming musicians you know to help support this.
Let's hashtag.
